Alfreda or Fred was dropped at a Monastery as an infant with a book written by Saint Alfred. She changed shapes according to who she touched which made for a hard adoption. When she was older she found records of her being the product of a rape. She joined the Alliance as soon as they came and worked as a living relay, which really wasn't her real talent and had to wear a harness to keep her from constantly shifting shapes. She found out after meeting Guardian El-sure who told her she was not a human but a Sukra and her shifting was due to them breeding true. When he starts testing Fred she practically shreds her harness and sees for herself that she is truly a Sukra. After leaving with El-sure she finds who she really is and the story of why and how she came to be and the trials she had to go through to become who she was destined to become. Grace was right when she said that Fred's harness was really the emotional ties that held her back and when it was no longer part of her, then she became who she truly was.Product details

I love Viola Grace's stories. She draws great characters and has wonderful detail in her short stories. I'm always looking forward to her next installment.

as always Viola Grace is a great writer who's stories although link are never the same as the previous one. Would greatly recommend her books to anyone
To be bound is to be free. An intriguing concept for this book. Fred made for an entertaining read throughout all her times and troubles. Very interesting reading.
This one was fully of twists and turns with the romance a sweet beat in the background.
The heroines self discovery was good to watch as was the coming alive of a world.
She was half human half sukra. She joined the volunteers and became relay as well as a bookbinder. She met her destiny with hdr full sukra man and the sentient planet. The Terran Times has followed the whole story.
